Marketnode Becomes Distributor and Tokenisation Agent for CGS International Multifactor Funds

Key points

  • Marketnode has been appointed authorised distributor and tokenisation agent for CGS International's APAC Core Multifactor Strategy and US Core Multifactor Strategy funds, with the appointment undertaken via CGS International Securities Singapore Pte. Ltd.
  • The APAC strategy has delivered cumulative returns of 117.05% and the US strategy 69.67%, according to figures cited by CGS International's Group Head of Prime Brokerage and Investment Solutions.
  • Tokenised fund units will be available on both EVM and non-EVM chains at launch, with Solana, Stellar, and the XRP Ledger specifically named.
  • Marketnode is backed by Euroclear, HSBC, SGX Group, and Temasek, and is taking on both distribution and tokenisation agent functions for the same product set.
  • The deal suggests multi-chain tokenised fund distribution is transitioning from exploratory pilot to a formally contracted, live operational arrangement.

Marketnode, the digital market infrastructure operator backed by Euroclear, HSBC, SGX Group, and Temasek, has been appointed as authorised distributor and tokenisation agent for two CGS International funds: the APAC Core Multifactor Strategy and the US Core Multifactor Strategy. The appointment is being undertaken with CGS International Securities Singapore Pte. Ltd. and marks CGS International’s formal entry into on-chain fund distribution.

Both funds follow a systematic equity strategy anchored in CGS International’s proprietary Quality, Value and Momentum model, targeting medium-to-long-term capital appreciation through listed companies with strong fundamentals. Cumulative returns cited in the announcement stand at 117.05% for the APAC strategy and 69.67% for the US strategy. The tokenised versions will be available across both EVM and non-EVM chains, with Solana, Stellar, and the XRP Ledger named at launch, indicating a deliberate effort to reach investors across multiple blockchain ecosystems rather than concentrating distribution on a single network.

The arrangement is operationally notable because Marketnode is taking on both the distribution and tokenisation agent roles simultaneously, consolidating the on-chain lifecycle of the funds under a single infrastructure counterparty. For the broader market, the move suggests that multi-chain fund distribution is moving from experiment to deployment, with traditional asset managers increasingly prepared to assign formal legal roles to digital infrastructure operators rather than treating tokenisation as a bolt-on pilot.
