BitGo to Bring WisdomTree Tokenised Money Market Fund Into Custody Platform

Key points

  • BitGo Bank & Trust, an OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank, will integrate WisdomTree's WTGXX tokenised government money market fund into its BitGo Mint platform for eligible institutional clients.
  • Clients will be able to move between USD, supported stablecoins, and WTGXX fund shares without separately onboarding with WisdomTree, and can reallocate beneficial interests peer-to-peer via BitGo's Go Network settlement network.
  • WTGXX joins BitGo Mint alongside existing supported assets USD1 and SoFiUSD, expanding the platform's suite of yield-bearing tokenised instruments.
  • WisdomTree's Will Peck cited treasury yield access, operational liquidity maintenance, and potential collateral use as the three concurrent functions the integration is designed to enable.
  • BitGo already serves as an institutional custodial partner for WisdomTree's digital asset ETPs in Europe, making this integration an extension of an established relationship rather than a first-contact arrangement.

BitGo Bank & Trust, an Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC)-regulated digital asset trust bank, has announced it will integrate WisdomTree‘s Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX) directly into its BitGo Mint custody and settlement platform, allowing eligible institutional clients to access the tokenised, yield-bearing fund without leaving their existing BitGo banking environment.

Through the integration, clients will be able to subscribe to, hold, and redeem WTGXX shares alongside other digital assets already held at BitGo Bank & Trust, moving between US dollars, supported stablecoins, and fund shares without separately onboarding with WisdomTree. WTGXX joins BitGo Mint’s existing roster of supported assets, which includes USD1 and SoFiUSD. Clients holding WTGXX shares will also be able to reallocate beneficial interests peer-to-peer with other eligible BitGo clients via Go Network, the firm’s settlement network.

WisdomTree’s Head of Onchain, Will Peck, flagged collateral utility as part of the product’s intended value, suggesting WTGXX holdings could eventually serve treasury, liquidity, and collateral functions simultaneously within a single regulated environment. The announcement also deepens an existing relationship: BitGo already acts as one of the institutional custodial partners for WisdomTree’s digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) in Europe, and this integration extends that arrangement from underlying ETP custody into direct on-platform fund access.

For institutional operators, the structural point is that a regulated bank environment is being positioned as the venue where tokenised money market exposure, settlement, and collateral management converge. Whether collateral utility is operational at launch or a roadmap item is not specified in the announcement, so that claim warrants watching as the integration goes live.
