Bosera International is the Hong Kong-based asset management arm of mainland China's Bosera Asset Management, one of the four issuers granted conditional SFC approval in April 2024 for Hong Kong's first spot crypto ETFs, and one of two issuers (alongside ChinaAMC) whose spot Ether ETF is staking-enabled. The Bosera HashKey Ether ETF, run in partnership with HashKey Capital as the licensed staking platform, launched around 25 April 2025.
What it is
Bosera International is the Hong Kong subsidiary of Bosera Asset Management, a large mainland Chinese fund manager, positioned in Hong Kong to issue crypto-asset ETFs under the SFC's virtual-asset ETF framework alongside its conventional fund range. The Bosera-HashKey product pairing puts a mainland-parented asset manager's fund wrapper together with a Hong Kong-native licensed virtual asset platform for the staking function specifically.
Relevance to tokenisation
Bosera's staking-enabled Ether ETF is one of the two live worked examples (with ChinaAMC's) of Hong Kong's regime separating fund management from the staking function: the fund manager issues and administers the ETF, while a separately SFC-licensed virtual asset trading platform runs the validator infrastructure and reward distribution. See Hong Kong's staking-enabled ETH ETF regime for the fuller comparison, including what remains unconfirmed about staking caps and redemption mechanics.
